Pintandwefall (FI)

This band was supposed to break up after their first gig. But the gig at a high school party in early 2006 was a blast! Who would have thought that these mysterious masked girls could achieve so much in such a short period of time.

Crazy Pint, Cute Pint, Dumb Pint and Tough Pint form a group with unprecendented energy. Visual mystery, spontaneous energy on stage and the best songs of the 21st century have taken the girls far. Hundreds of sold demos and t-shirts, songs played on the air, a record deal, two album releases and a maxi vinyl release prove that PAWF is here to stay.

A lot has happened to the band since the acclaimed debut album “Wow, what was that, baby?” was released in October 2007: some 70 gigs all over Finland, more than 1,500 albums sold, a tour and record release in Russia.

Pintandwefall’s second album “Hong Kong, Baby” was released on 23 January 2009 in Finland. “Hong Kong, Baby” includes songs about zombies, octopuses, piranhas, gang members, ex-boyfriends and little birds holiday experiences. The album presents a more versatile side of Pintandwefall. The new brilliant songs bring out the band’s superior vocal skills better than before, as well as its unconventional way of composing excellent pop songs.

Pintandwefall will begin its spring tour in February, including gigs outside Finland. Pintandwefall has already raised international interest in that it was booked as the first artist at the Popkomm event in Berlin in 2009. Band will be touring in Europe during the autumn.

Hong Kong, baby is released by GAEA Records and available in Benelux on 1 March 2009 distributed by Sonic Rendezvous.
